Every time I go here, the burgers cleanse me of my mortality. I become a being of ethereal quality, one born from the outer reaches of the universe, one destined for greatness instead of just doom scrolling on my couch gaining weight and neck problems. The fries are exquisite--some of the best fries you'll ever have, especially when paired with the Chipotle ranch, which is just spicy enough for those who want to feel special but not too spicy for those whose mouths burn with water. I could reach the heavens with the quality of the food here. The atmosphere makes you feel like you're in a parallel dimension where politics are friendly and the economy doesn't tank every time a daisy shakes in the wind. The staff and owner are super friendly, too, and the owner always comes over and greets my table. He's a super cool guy, so I recommend asking him stuff about his life if you want to hear some cool stories. But alas, I live far away from Burger Haul, so I cannot enjoy the delicacies of this restaurant. Hence, you should go in my place, not only to satisfy me vicariously, but also to support this underrated small business.
The food was amazing and the service was spectacular. This is a must stop if you are in the area.The owner/cook came out and was very friendly. We enjoyed our conversation and he made sure the food was to our liking. In addition the server was very helpful in making great choices for our burgers and the ice cream sandwich is a must have... save room!!
The cheeseburgers and fries, as well as the onion rings were fresh and delicious! The decor could use an upgrade, but the service and the food made up for It. The owner named Joe came out and asked how everything was, which I thought was pretty cool since he made the burgers himself and was very sincere and friendly. I will definitely be going back next time o visit my son at the university of Iowa.
Stumbled upon this place late Saturday night and so happy that we did. Not only was the service amazing, but the food is the best I’ve had in the area. Burgers were cooked to perfection and the sweet potato fries were the best I’ve ever had. Although the food was incredible, the highlight of this entire experience was the owner coming to have a conversation with us on our experience. He was super personable and made the experience better than it already is. Great place, great owner, great food. 12/10. Will definitely be back.
Went on a Saturday night and tried their smash burger deal with fries and a side of ranch. Absolutely amazing food and service. Our server was very nice and the owner came out to our table when we got our food and was super welcoming. His food is great! Their raspberry moscow mule was also fantastic. I would recommend this place to anyone!
We were in town and looking for something simple and quiet...this place hit all the buttons! Staff was wonderful and cook even came out to see how we liked our food! Burger and chicken sandwich were great along with the fries....would definitely come back again next time in town! Keep up the good work it's hard to come by nowadays!
Was in town passing though and stopped in for a burger. All around great experience. We were greated very kindly upon entering. Seated promptly. Our waiter enthusiastically recommended their margaritas and told us how they make their own syrups. The margarita was amazing. We ordered the spicy chicken sandwich which was juicy chicken and the perfect amount of spice and breading we also order the bacon burger with added jalapenos and delicious is an understatement. After we finished the cook came out and greeted us we had such a pleasant conversation with him you can tell he really is proud of the establishment. Perfect overall experience thank you. We will return anytime in town.
Highly recommend! Had the best experience here! The server we had was efficient and very nice. We got the pretzel with queso, the BALT burger, and a Butterscotch Willy Nilly bar. Everything was a 10/10. Even got to talk to the owner and learn more about the restaurant. Very personable.
